Allanah Zitserman – Managing Director
Allanah displayed entrepreneurial pizzazz from a young age; at 18 she started a nightclub called Barbarella, which quickly became the hippest venue on the Sydney night scene. Following her degree, she partnered with Stavros Kazantzidis and launched the film production company Screen Artists. Their first produced film, RUSSIAN DOLL starring Hugo Weaving, garnered the pair the AFI Best Original Screenplay Award. Following this she wrote and produced HORSEPLAY a Black Comedy set on Melbourne Cup Day starring Abbie Cornish. While travelling overseas on the international film festival circuit, Allanah managed events at the Cannes and Marrakech Film Festivals. Shortly after her return home, she co‐founded the Dungog Film Festival. Moving into the distribution of Australian film is a natural progression for Allanah who is passionate about bringing Australian films to Australian audiences.
